On Sunday September 6th, 2009 at 9:00 PM at the Piazza Giotti - The Grand Finale
open air concert with the international artists: David D’or, Bilje Krstic, Dragan Dautovski Quartet and Miriam Tukan performed with their bands and cooperated with each other before 4000 excited audiences who packed the Piazza to sing and dance and cheer in a great spirit of joy and celebration. The first to take to the stage was David D’or the internationally renowned Israeli vocalist combining traditional songs in contemporary mastery of sounds and rhythms yet above all it was is god given angelic voice and inspiring interpretation the moved the masses to tears. specially moving was the guest performance of Miriam Tukan a 27 years old Arab woman who joined D’or is songs of peace and prayer.
He was followed by Bilje Krstic who’s overwhelming balkan medley of song from Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria and Romania stormed the Piazza. Escorted by her Gypsy sounding orchestra and oozing her energetic spirit free and unabashed she swapped the audiences of the chairs and onto their feet with great enthusiasm.
The evening further soared towards new dimensions with the unique sound of Dragan Dautovski Quartet unplugged performance in search of the deepest traditional roots of their land Macedonia portraying a lyric scene with their voices and their exotic traditional instruments.
