On Sunday September 6th, 2009 at 12:15 AM the "ecumenic prayer" on a small stage near the ‘Tent of Abraham’ a very precious hour was facilitated in a most rare fashion of sacred prayer that crossed sects and bridged ancient diffrences and animosities. Catholic, Orthodox and Lutheran Christian spiritual leaders and religious authorities representing the Christian reality of the city of Trieste and the neighboring Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia gathered to create a common prayer in respect and acknowledgment of each other. In the spirit of the day, and the umbrella of the hospitality of the Jewish community. Thousand of mesmerized audiences were drawn to deep contemplation in awe of the ecumenical prayers, the sacred chants and the performance of bilja Krstic. This symbolic meeting, an historical encounter unprecedented with great religious and social implications in the name of mutual respect and the spirit of reconciliation.
