| AN EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS |

This extraordinary success was the result of the 10th anniversary of the European Jewish Culture Day, that has been celebrated on September 5th and 6th in the beautiful city of Trieste in italy. This year’s celebration was particularly special due to the vast participation of public drawn to the relevant program, the rich and diverse cultural performances and exhibitions that were nationally and internationally web-casted live. The event was envisioned and produced by WEDOCARE founding president Ron Fremder in cooperation with Andrea Mariani the president of the Jewish community of Trieste and the support of Maria Nicoletta Gaida that worked on idea and content development. Further contributing to the great success of this event was this year’s theme of "Knowing and Welcoming the Other" that inspired great participation of high profile international scholars, thinkers, spiritual leaders and artists who courageously voiced there thoughts and opinions in debates and through musical expressions to more then 10 thousand audiences gathering in the Big Synagogue of Trieste, the Verdi Opera Theater and the colorful Piazza San Antonio in the center of town, along with 30 thousands audiences that watched the event live through the web-cast in various languages, in four continents across the planet.
